House of Reps’ Northern Caucus Commits N450 Million to Rebuild Tudun Biri

N450 Million Boost for Tudun Biri Reconstruction Announced

The Northern Regional Caucus of the House of Representatives has announced a substantial pledge of N450 million to rehabilitate the Tudun Biri community in Kaduna State. This commitment comes as a swift response to the devastation caused by recent drone attacks in the area.

Led by House Majority Leader Alhassan Ado-Doguwa, a delegation of 13 members visited the Kaduna Government House. They expressed their condolences and solidarity with the state government and the affected community over the tragic incident.

According to the Sun, The caucus outlined specific plans for the allocated funds. They intend to focus on building essential infrastructure such as classrooms, hospitals, and solar-powered boreholes. These projects aim to restore normalcy and improve the quality of life for the residents of Tudun Biri.

Ado-Doguwa praised the Federal Government for its immediate reaction and support to the community post-incident. He emphasized the government’s role in ensuring swift aid and expressed confidence in the government’s commitment to overseeing the implementation of these development projects.

The caucus vowed to collaborate with the Federal Government to thoroughly investigate the incident, ensuring such tragedies do not recur. This initiative underscores a commitment to justice and the enhancement of security measures in the region.

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani expressed his gratitude to the delegation for their support. He stressed the importance of a comprehensive investigation to achieve justice for the victims and prevent future negligence.

Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto, echoed the need for justice for the victims. During the annual JNI Central Council Conference, he assured that the council would advocate for accountability and support for the affected families.

Information Minister Mohammed Idris highlighted President Bola Tinubu’s FULAKO Initiative. This program, aimed at addressing the impacts of banditry and kidnapping, will see the construction of houses, clinics, and schools in affected regions, including Zamfara, Kebbi, Katsina, Kaduna, Niger, and Benue.

Governor Umaru Bago of Niger State acknowledged the Jama’atu Nasrul Islam (JNI)’s contributions to Islamic education and community growth. He emphasized the state’s commitment to work alongside religious leaders to foster a peaceful and understanding society.

The Minister for Information and National Orientation also called attention to the deplorable conditions of the Minna-Suleja and Minna-Bida roads, urging the Federal Government to prioritize their repair.
