Adegboyega Oyetola, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy and former Governor of Osun State, has voiced strong confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, affirming his capability to lead Nigeria towards a future brimming with economic growth and prosperity. Speaking at a significant community event in Osun State, Oyetola addressed the current economic challenges facing the nation, attributing them to previous administrations’ policy missteps. He emphasized the importance of the ongoing economic reforms under President Tinubu’s administration, designed to secure a flourishing future for all Nigerians.
During the unveiling of an ultra-modern palace for the Aragbiji of Iragbiji in the Boripe local government area, Oyetola called for patience and support from Nigerians, acknowledging the difficulties ahead but reassuring that Tinubu’s reforms are set to lay a solid foundation for the country’s prosperity. “We are going to have difficult moments considering where we are coming from,” Oyetola stated, encouraging continuous prayers for the President for wisdom and health. He firmly believes that Tinubu will fulfill the nation’s aspirations for economic prosperity and a wealth of opportunities.
In his speech, Oyetola also highlighted the significance of community-driven development projects. He praised the collective efforts that led to the construction of the new palace, likening it to similar initiatives in Ijesaland. The commissioning event also served as a moment of reflection for the Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Oba Abdur-Rasheed Olabomi. He shared insights into the extensive discussions and deliberations with engineering teams regarding the preservation of historical structures within the palace compound. The project, which initially aimed for a six-month completion, spanned six years, culminating in the unveiling of the N450 million modern palace. This development not only marks a significant milestone for the community of Iragbiji but also stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of cooperation and development that Minister Oyetola advocates.
