The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) announced a major breakthrough in its fight against crime, dismantling an alleged jewelry theft ring believed to be responsible for millions of Naira in stolen goods. The operation comes on the heels of a brazen attack on April 28th, where armed robbers targeted the Abuja residence of a police officer.
While the officer thankfully emerged unharmed, the robbers managed to steal a safe containing valuables belonging to multiple residents in the compound.

However, he pointedly noted that if a security breach of that nature had taken place, there would be serious repercussions for the security detail guarding the residence.
