As part of the training, CP Yusufu Mohammed Lawal stressed that a need for preparation of schools for emergencies exists. The partnership with the Borno Police Command and the Ministry of Education shows the state’s determination to protect learners and teachers. Now school principals and teachers are much more prepared to act quickly addressing different threats being in possession of the Police VGS App which adds to the overall security framework of schools.
According to The Punch, ASP Nahum Daso encouraged all citizens including educators to use the Police VGS Application in order to improve the responses to emergencies in the state. This app plays a significant role as a protective instrument of schools and communities because it allows more effective reporting and faster police intervention during threats.
