Dr. Doris Uzoka Anite, the Minister of State for Finance, has vowed to allocate the strategic resources and manage the budget with prudence with the 2025 budget.
During a budget defense session at the House of Representatives in Abuja, Dr. Uzoka-Anite noted that the ministry has prioritized economic growth and national concerns such as infrastructure, fiscal stability.
In her words to lawmakers, the 2025 budget is in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda to broaden Nigerian’s economic circle as well as enhancing millions of Nigerians’ lives.
Operating efficiently
Dr. Uzoka Anite on her part accompanied by Permanent Secretary Lydia Shehu Jafiyha noted that the budget was primarily overheads, personnel expenses and few capital projects.
She said the 2025 budget contains provisions for critical upgrades to the ministry headquarters to improve efficiency and service delivery.
The chairman of the committee Hon James Faleke commended the presentation and promised that the committee will go through the proposal and support the government’s fiscal objectives.
