According to Mr. Richard Dauda, the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) prepared seven memos ahead of Tinubu’s 2nd anniversary and this was one of them.
Poor lighting has also plagued the 14-kilometer, 10-lane expressway that runs from Maitama to Gudu for a long time. Going down Highway 11 at night, you can see that the route is mostly in the dark. Moreover for the past 10 years, these streetlights have been there and are now considered obsolete, as explained by Dauda.
He also stressed that using a mix of lighting types would boost the safety and brightness on the roads with the latest lighting advancements.
