Dangote Industries Limited has once again told truck drivers who illegally put its emblem on vehicles that aren’t owned by the company that the practice has hurt its reputation and incorrectly linked it to car accidents.
The group added that even though they have warned drivers several times, some still use the emblem without permission, usually for personal or hidden reasons. The company said that a number of these trucks have been involved in events that were wrongly blamed on Dangote.

The company promised to work more closely with law enforcement and security authorities to keep an eye on things and take legal action against those who break the law. It also promised to take stronger steps to preserve its brand name.

Dangote warned about false information spreading online and in the news, saying that not all of the trucks that were in accidents belong to its fleet. The company asked people to check the facts before connecting events to its business.
A huge logistics fleet at the center
The Dangote Group has one of the largest commercial fleets in Africa. In Nigeria alone, they have more than 12,000 vehicles, 3,000 of which are owned by contractors. Its logistics network has more than 6,000 trucks that run every day and support 36,000 employment directly and indirectly.
