NiDCOM targets bigger deals at 2025 summit

At a press briefing on Friday, NiDCOM Chairman Abike Dabiri-Erewa said the summit has become one of Nigeria’s strongest diaspora-led investment platforms since its launch in 2018.

She said last year’s edition generated deals worth ₦673 million across eight strategic sectors, including healthcare, real estate, agriculture, ICT, and creative industries.

“The 2024 summit hosted over 1,500 participants, including 236 investors and 1,197 business owners,” Dabiri-Erewa noted. “It also presented 56 investment pitches that attracted 168 deals worth about ₦673 million.”

Dabiri-Erewa confirmed that Tinubu would again grace the 2025 edition, describing his participation as a vote of confidence in the role of the diaspora in Nigeria’s economic renewal.

The 2025 summit will focus on mobilising diaspora investment to accelerate regional and national development.

NiDCOM said the event has also boosted local economic activity, contributing over ₦500 million to small businesses and creatives through services rendered during previous summits.

“This year’s theme, ‘Fast-Tracking Regional and National Development by Mobilising Diaspora Investment,’ reflects our commitment to sustaining growth,” Dabiri-Erewa said.

Key sectors to be spotlighted include finance and fintech, ICT, creative industries, sports, agribusiness, healthcare, real estate, and energy. Registration is ongoing on the official website: www.ndisng.com.
