Former Big Brother Naija housemate Anita Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has officially claimed two Guinness World Records.
During the Tacha Beauty Festival, which took place from October 10 to 12, 2025, in the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History in Lagos, she broke the records for the most cosmetic makeovers in eight hours and 24 hours. Guinness World Records confirmed the achievement on X, stating Tacha completed 82 makeovers in eight hours and 144 makeovers in 24 hours.
The festival featured 150 models who received full cosmetic makeovers under her direction. The 29-year-old shared her emotional reaction on Instagram, praising her fans, her team, and her late mother. She described the success as fueled by “grace, persistence, and the unwavering support of my TEAM and fans who refused to let me quit.”

Tacha spoke to Guinness World Records about her journey, saying her motivation came from daring to be different.
She recalled childhood fascination with colors and makeup, and explained that the goal was to showcase African women’s talent globally. She worked long hours, prayed early in the morning, and had trouble sleeping at night, but she was determined to finish the task.
Tacha also told dreamers to pray for detractors because they will help them find their destiny. I seek my destiny and win, even though they despise me. Her achievement highlights not only personal resilience but also the growing global influence of Nigerian creatives in beauty and fashion.
By setting these records, Tacha demonstrates how ambition, teamwork, and creativity can earn international recognition while inspiring the next generation of African women.
