Nigerian security agencies have rescued eight people abducted around Millennium City and Marabar Rido in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State following coordinated operations involving intelligence and security personnel.
The operation, conducted between October 31 and November 2, 2026, brought together the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Police Force and the military, with support from the Kaduna State Government.
The rescue forms part of ongoing efforts by security agencies to disrupt kidnapping networks responsible for repeated abductions in Millennium City and surrounding communities.
Speaking at a press conference at the DSS Command headquarters in Kaduna, Commissioner of Police Muhammad Rabiu said the operation demonstrated the commitment of security agencies to protecting residents and dismantling criminal groups operating across the state.

The rescued victims were identified as Jamila Muhammad, 27, wife of Abdulkadir Bello; Talatu Yakubu, 40; Yunana Bawa, 30; Calista Bishop, 27; Chid inma Onuwere, 36; Eucharia Obi, 41; Godiya Victor, 50; and eight-year-old Miracle Alex.
Their rescue represents another breakthrough in the security agencies’ campaign against kidnapping in Kaduna State, where communities have faced repeated attacks and abductions.
The latest operation comes weeks after security personnel rescued Ahmad Zakka and members of his family on October 15, 2026.
Rabiu said the successive rescues reflected the determination of security agencies to locate abducted persons, bring them to safety and dismantle the criminal networks behind the attacks.
The police commissioner acknowledged the contributions of the different agencies involved in the operation.
He credited ONSA with providing strategic coordination, the police with operational support, the DSS with intelligence-driven efforts and the military with its participation in the joint mission.
Rabiu also commended the Kaduna State Government, led by Governor Uba Sani, for supporting the operations.
He said the collaboration between federal security agencies and the state government underscored President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to addressing insecurity and strengthening national security.
The commissioner did not disclose further operational details about the circumstances of the victims’ rescue or whether suspects had been arrested in connection with the latest abductions.
