Leaders and key stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta Central Senatorial District have unanimously passed a vote of confidence in Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s leadership.
This decision was reached during a meeting of all elected and appointed political office holders held at Osubi in Okpe Local Government Area on Friday.
The motion, which set the tone for the gathering, was moved by Hon. Sunny Emeyese, a former member of the House of Representatives, and was promptly seconded by Hon. Felix Anirah, a former member representing Sapele Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly. Their proposal was met with resounding support, as attendees unanimously adopted the motion.
The leaders commended Governor Oborevwori for his achievements in the last 18 months, emphasizing that his performance had inspired confidence in his capacity to continue driving development in the state. Their endorsement sends a strong signal about his chances for re-election in 2027.

“United we stand, and with this level of unity, there is no limit to what we can achieve as a party,” one party leader remarked.
According to Vanguard, they called on party members to remain dedicated to the PDP’s goals, urging them to work toward ensuring victory for the governor and all PDP candidates during the 2027 elections. Moreover, by fostering unity, the leaders believe the PDP can maintain its stronghold in Delta State.
