President Bola Tinubu has reached out to offer his sympathies to Nigerian British boxer Anthony Joshua, following a deadly road accident on Monday. The crash on the busy Lagos Ibadan Expressway resulted in two fatalities and left the former heavyweight champion with minor injuries.
In a statement shared online, the president described the incident as a painful loss. He extended his condolences to the families of the two individuals who died and offered support to Joshua.
“I extend my deep sympathies to you following the tragic accident,” Tinubu’s statement read. “I sympathise with you and your family as you bear the emotional weight of this unfortunate incident.”
