In collaboration with the West African Institute for Financial and Economic Management (WAIFEM), the CBN launched a five-day regional workshop on Monday.
Building Capacity for Improved Project Outcomes

Bulus emphasized the critical role of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) in project success. “A strong M&E framework is the foundation of any development project,” Bulus remarked. “It ensures projects are implemented effectively and achieve their intended goals.”
Workshop Focuses on Practical Applications
The workshop curriculum delves into practical applications of project management principles. Participants will explore best practices for efficient resource utilization in various sectors, including healthcare, education, and construction. The program also addresses the challenges posed by growing human conflicts, geoeconomic fragmentation, and climate change.
Workshop organizers highlight the importance of M&E in promoting transparency, accountability, and early problem identification. Effective M&E systems allow for improved decision-making and the replication of successful projects.

The Director General of WAIFEM, Dr. Baba Musa, expressed his appreciation to Nigerian President Bola Tinubu and CBN Governor Cardoso for their support. Musa emphasized the significance of the workshop, stating, “This program represents a major step forward in enhancing project management capabilities across West Africa.”
