The Oba of Benin, Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II has urged Senator Monday Okpebholo who has just emerged the Edo State Governor-elect not to fail in his campaign promises to the people of Edo State. The monarch made this appeal in Benin City when the governor-elect and his deputy visited Rt. Hon Dennis Idahosa paid a courtesy visit to the Palace to present INEC Certificate of Return.
Oba of Benin pleads with Governor-Elect Okpebholo to deliver his promises
Reacting, the Oba in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Osaigbovo Iguobaro on Tuesday said Okpebholo would provide good governance to the people of Edo State. Furthermore, the Oba expressed gratitude to God Almighty, his lineage, prayers to the security personnel and agencies, as well as the President –elect Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for a successful September, 21,2024 elections.
A call for good governance and fulfilled promises
The Oba of Benin also encouraged Governor-elect Okpebholo to deliver on the campaign promises given, he said, “You will do your best to ensure you fulfill the promises you made during the political campaigns, more to the delight of all”. More blessings will come.” To this Okpebholo, he made it clear that the Palace doors are always open for him while he governs the state.
