The Federal Government has commended Sir Kessington Adebutu, CEO of Premier Lotto Ltd, for his philanthropic contribution to education with a 250-seater Media Resource Centre at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ) in Lagos.
During the commissioning, Finance Minister Wale Edun highlighted the donation’s significance, noting it reinforces the infrastructure pillar of Nigeria’s education sector.
Mission to provide education
Edun remarked, “This facility enhances the government’s mission to provide quality education, and partners like Sir Adebutu play a vital role in bridging educational gaps.”
Adebutu expressed pride in aligning the initiative with his foundation’s values, emphasizing that the center will elevate journalism education in Nigeria.
According to Vanguard, Former Ogun Governor Aremo Olusegun Osoba and NIJ Provost Gbenga Adefaye praised the lasting impact of Adebutu’s contributions across sectors, calling the media center a model for private sector support in public education.
