The National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, said the international community stands firmly with Nigeria.
The United States, France, and the United Kingdom are providing technical support for ongoing security operations. Ribadu spoke in Kontagora, Niger State, during a visit to Bishop Bulus Yohanna of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Northern Region.
He joined parents of pupils abducted from St. Mary’s Private Catholic School, Papiri. Ribadu said President Bola Tinubu expressed deep concern over the incident. The president has directed security agencies to deploy all necessary resources to secure the children’s release.
Speaking at St. Michael’s Catholic Cathedral, Ribadu assured parents and church leaders: “This is a painful period for all of us but we will rescue your children.” He added that the Federal Government is taking full responsibility for restoring security in affected communities.

The NSA, accompanied by the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Bernard Doro, and DSS Director-General Oluwatosin Ajayi, said rescue operations have been intensified.
Ribadu conveyed President Tinubu’s message of solidarity and resolve, noting he suspended official engagements to focus on the matter. He commended Bishop Yohanna for calm leadership and reassured parents that the whole world stands with Nigeria.
Rescue efforts will continue until the pupils are safely reunited with their families. Bishop Yohanna thanked the government for the visit, saying it renewed hope among traumatised families.
Sources said a closed-door meeting followed, during which church authorities, school representatives, and parents provided detailed accounts of the abduction and its impact on the community.
