President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday swore in two new ministers at the State House. Bernard Doro and Kingsley Udeh joined the cabinet shortly before the Federal Executive Council meeting.
Doro, from Plateau State, replaces Nentawe Yilwatda as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs. Yilwatda resigned to serve as APC national chairman. Doro’s nomination was confirmed by the Senate in late October.
Udeh succeeds Uche Nnaji as Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology. The Senate approved Udeh earlier Thursday after a brief screening. He previously served as Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Enugu State.
Tinubu cabinet appointments honours late Nigerian leaders during feck meeting
The council observed a minute of silence for Solomon Ewuga and Abdullahi Mohammed Adangba. Ewuga served as Minister of State for FCT, deputy governor, senator, and ambassador.
Adangba was Chief of Staff to Presidents Obasanjo and Yar’Adua. Key officials including SGF George Akume and NSA Nuhu Ribadu attended the session.
The ceremony marks a significant moment in Tinubu cabinet appointments and continuity of governance.
