The Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC is restructuring and it’s a customer centric organization, compliance and enforcement, global best practices.

Restructuring CAC for improved service delivery and global competitiveness

We are clearly restructuring into a customer centric organization that will support the needs of every business, national and global. According to CAC Registrar General/CEO, Hussaini Magaji, at the 2024 Management Retreat in Jos, Plateau State, the organization needs to overhaul its structure to improve service delivery.

The current organizational framework of the CAC would be dismantled for the introduction of a flexible, dynamic structure as per global standards, Magaji announced.

In his statement, he said the shift would also be founded in adopting advanced technologies to serve current and future customers needs.

But Magaji said CAC is a learning organization, ready and willing to re-invent and recreate itself to meet the present and future needs of its customers, to ensure a customer-centric organization.

Compliance and enforcement focus

Magaji also disclosed that the Commission will shift its state offices focus from developmental assistance to providing compliance and enforcement activities.

Also these will be the units that are ‘trained and tasked’ with the right tools in place to guard against ethical lapses and will help see a more enforcement driven CAC.

By pulling best practices from Malaysia and China, a committee has been formed to create a blueprint for restructuring. The objective of this blueprint is to guarantee that the CAC continues to be relevant in a global business environment which is forever changing.

Furthermore, CAC’s efforts to improve its operations were commended by Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang represented by Commissioner of Trade and Industry Musa Sule, and the Director General of the Industrial Training Fund, Dr. Afiz Ogun who commended the leadership of the Commission for their foresight.

According to The Punch, The restructuring is also expected to enable the CAC to serve its customers with greater efficiency and reinforce Nigeria’s business environment for local and international investors alike.
