Gombe State in northeastern Nigeria is taking a tougher stance against criminal activity and social vices. Governor Muhammadu Yahaya recently announced the expansion of a task force dedicated to shutting down illegal nightclubs known as “gidan galas” and other problematic establishments. This initiative aims to bring the fight against crime to all 11 Local Government Areas (LGAs) within Gombe’s borders.
