Nigeria’s National Security Adviser (NSA) Mallam Nuhu Ribadu has issued a warning to the emerging terror group, Lakurawa, also urging them not to test the will of President Bola Tinubu.
”Their defiant utterances are a mistake and the government must act swiftly if they remaining a threat to the peace and unity of the country,” Ribadu said while speaking at the Comptroller General of Customs conference in Abuja.
Military presence increased in Kebbi
General Christopher Musa, Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, also deployed troops to Augie Local Government Area in Kebbi State on the same day, after the Lakurawa group killed 17 people.
Local security was reinforced with armored vehicles, and the deputy governor weighed in, briefing soldiers on action to take in the affected area.
Tinubu has quelled terror activities all around Nigeria, from the Niger Delta to the North East, Ribadu told the rally. He credited these successes to what he called ‘Tinubu’s gains’ united national security efforts.
The NSA has ithered that no one dares Tinubu and wins.
Revenue collection records and military reinforcements
During the year, the Nigeria Customs Service also collected record revenue which exceeded N5 trillion. And Ribadu said the gains were a result of stronger operational strategies that would benefit the nation as a whole.
Regarding more changes, Ribadu also spoke on Tinubu’s ongoing success in stabilizing Nigeria’s currency and unifying exchange rates, which according to him is a tremendous step towards economic growth.
Security leaders are further working cohesively to tackle security threats, and what he called Nigeria of 2024 is a Nigeria on the rise.
