Progress as FG boosts power generation
The minister shared this news while officials from the Nigerian Society of Engineers under President Margret Oguntala paid him a visit. The power generation capacity of Nigeria had been confined to 2,000MW for years that resulted in reaching 4,000MW in 2022.

Collaboration with Nigerian Society of Engineers
During the meeting the Ministry of Power connected with the NSE to share knowledge about dealing with the power sector problems. According to Adelabu the NSE plays a necessary role to supply technical expertise combined with advisory support to serve the ministry.
The society needed to focus on professional training according to his view while engineers should establish leadership positions and advance sector evolution. The organization should direct its efforts toward training initiatives alongside infrastructure projects advancement.
During his speech Adelabu brought attention to infrastructure development since Nigeria faced persistent grid failures although it had many engineers as FG boosts power generation. Training development requires attention because the power sector currently suffers from major skill deficiencies throughout Nigeria. The NSE needs to actively tackle power sector challenges stated the minister together with directions for solutions to improve Nigerian power infrastructure.
